Morro Bay to Port San Luis
We departed Morro Bay at 1100 for a short 22 mile run to Port San Luis,
another open anchorage. The trip was uneventful and the day was
sunny. We dropped the hook at about 1400 and put out both flopper
stoppers to reduce the rolling from the small southerly swells coming
in. PSL is an interesting place with several piers to service
ships and commercial fishing boats. We anchored between two piers.
After settling for the afternoon, we had lunch and shared a bottle of
wine. The day at anchor was comfortable and some time later, both
sailboats, Chaitanya and Sandpiper, showed up and spent the night there
as well.
We will leave early tomorrow morning and so went to bed early after
reading and discussing our future plans and ports.
